Maritime Progress has been monitoring the evolution of MARPOL Annex V and the Polar Code and have updated the 1029 Garbage Disposal Plan
to provide clearer decision support for dealing with garbage. The plan is a good companion to the Garbage Record Book and suitable for anyone working at sea.
The new version 1029, is not only clearer but also recognises areas covered by the Polar Code as well as Special Areas. The amended Garbage Disposal Plan (1029) also has been updated to reflect the MEPC.201 (62), 219 (63) and 264 (68).
