Marine ISO signage to replace IMO for Shipboard escape route signs and emergency equipment location markings
From the 1st of January 2019, all new vessels will be required to be fitted with signage conforming to IMO resolution A.1116(30).
All existing vessels will also be required to change over to this new signage when they undergo repairs, alterations, modifications and outfitting. It is expected that this transition period will still generate a demand for the old signage, which will lessen year by year over the next 4 years, whereupon there-after there will be no further demand.
We wish to ensure that our customers are aware of this up and coming transition, and to clarify that your exact requirements will be required at the point of ordering so that we can provide you with the correct signage, as the codes for the new style will be different to the existing ones which have been in use for many years. We will, from the 1st of January 2019 sell the new signage unless otherwise specified by the customer. We will continue to sell the older IMO signage to customers who still wish to buy them.
If you have any further queries about the changes, please contact us on 01542 841245 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
